Chippiparai
The Chippiparai is a South Hound dog
belongs to the South of India. Basically, it’s an Indigenous Hound dog of Tamil
Nadu which usually found in only one color. It is primarily used for Hunting
small Rabbits, Forests Pig, and Deer but after the hunting regulation act was
passed by the Indian government now they are used for dog racing and dog shows.

Rajapalayam
The Rajapalayam dog also known as
Poligar Hound. Basically, they belong and bred by the Nayak Dynasty of Tamil
Nadu. These dogs traditionally as Guard Dogs, Hunting Dogs, War Dogs, and most
commonly as a Companion Dog.

Indian Pariah Dog
The Indian Pariah Dog also is known as South Asian pie dog but all of us Indian Knows this as a Desi Dog or Indie
Dog. These dogs are so smart and easy to train even some Police Departments in India are
using them as their companion. In some villages of India locals usually train
these dogs as guard dogs to save their pet animals like cows and Goat etc. from
predators like tiger and hyena.

Mudhol Hound
The Mudhol Hound also known as a Caravan Hound it’s an Indian dog breed same type as the South Hound dog. It is a common pet for villagers in India’s Karnataka State for guarding and hunting. The Kennel Club of India (KCI) and Indian National Kennel Club (INKC) recognize these breeds under different names. The KCI called it as a Caravan Hound and INKC uses the name Mudhol Hound.

Rampur Hound
The Rampur Hound also Known as
Rampur Greyhound and it’s a breed of Sight Hound. Basically found in Rampur
Region of Northern India. Which lies between Delhi and Bareilly.

The Indian Mastiff also is known as
The Bully Kutta, Indo-Pakistani Mastiff. This dog originated from the subcontinental of India. Indian Mastiff is a working dog and was used for working
and Hunting. This breed is the most loved breed, especially in India and Pakistan. But
now people are using them for Dog Fights which is not good for them.

Kombai
The Kombai Dog is an another Hound Breed from South India. This dog was also bred to hunt Wild Boar, Bison and Deer in the early 9th century. It is considered as extremely loyal, intelligent, and powerful Native Breed in India.

Gaddi
The Gaddi Kutta also Known as Himalayan
Mastiff or Himalayan Sheepdog is found in the Himalayas region of Himachal Pradesh
and Uttarakhand. It is a Mastiff type dog breed. This Himalayan Breed is
mainly used for Herding's purpose. It is a perfect combination of loyalty and a
hard-working dog.

Kanni
The Kanni Dog also known as Maiden’s
Beastmaster. It is a rare Indigenous
South Indian Sight Hound breed of a dog Found in the state of Tamil Nadu. Kanni’s
are used for Hunting Blackbucks, Hares, and other rodents like other Hounds.
